St. Irene Orthodox Mission Centre and Orphanage’s Kids Day Out in Naivasha
At St. Irene Orthodox Mission Centre and Orphanage, we believe that every child deserves joy, fun, and the chance to explore the world beyond their everyday environment.
When Fr. Constantinos returned from the USA, he recognized the importance of exposing our children to new experiences that enrich their lives. This realization inspired him to organize a special Kids Day Out to Naivasha, marking the beginning of what we hope will become a continuous program of recreational and educational outings for the children under our care.
A Day of Fun and Exploration
Our trip to Naivasha was a perfect blend of fun and learning. The children had the chance to experience new and challenging activities, which not only brought joy to their hearts but also helped build their confidence. From bouncing castles to swings, the excitement in their eyes was contagious. The merry-go-round rides were a particular hit, filling the air with their cheerful laughter. Even the boat rides in the park were an incredible adventure for them, allowing the children to explore the water and enjoy nature’s beauty.
Unfortunately, not all the children could join us on this trip due to lack of funds. It reminded us that while the joy of these experiences is invaluable, the ability to provide them depends on the generous support of well-wishers.
Discovering Strengths and Building Confidence
These outings aren’t just about having fun – they are a chance for us to discover more about the children we care for. Through these activities, we learn about their strengths, skills, and areas where they need support. Each child is unique, and outings like this help us better understand how to empower them in their growth and development.
