A Call to Inner Restoration

As Great Lent begins, Orthodoxy Sunday becomes a mirror. It asks us:

  • What has distorted the image of God within us?
  • What needs cleansing, healing, or renewal
  • Where have we allowed fear, pride, or distraction to blur our spiritual vision?

Just as the Church once restored icons to their rightful place, we are invited to restore Christ to the center of our hearts.

Icons as Windows of Hope

Icons are not decorations; they are windows.
They open our eyes to the Kingdom of God.
They remind us that holiness is possible, that transformation is real, and that every human being carries divine dignity.

In a world filled with noise, division, and confusion, icons whisper a quiet truth:
God is with us, God is for us, and God is working within us.

A Lenten Invitation

Orthodoxy Sunday is not the end of a story it is the beginning of a journey. A journey of repentance, clarity, and renewed devotion.
A journey of seeing Christ more clearly and reflecting Him more faithfully.

As we continue through Lent, may we:

  • Clean the “icons” of our hearts through prayer and humility
  • Restore relationships that have been strained
  • See Christ in the poor, the hurting, and the forgotten
  • Walk with courage toward the light of Pascha

A Blessing for Today

May this Orthodoxy Sunday awaken in us a fresh longing for God.

May it strengthen our faith, deepen our love, and renew our hope.
And may the restored image of Christ shine brightly in our lives, our families, and our communities.
