Heavy rains have caused flooding in Kenya which have impacted directly on St Irene’s Mission and Orphanage as shown in photos below. The flooding have affected, classrooms, dormitories, toilets and playgrounds which are severely flooded. The consequence of this action have lead to kids having difficulties in life at the mission centre.

In addition, some books, school documents, furniture and other equipment have been destroyed making learning difficult. The impact of the floods have also affected infrastructure since the road towards St Irene Orthodox Mission Centre & Orphanage has become damaged.

Please put a smile on a child’s face this holiday season by sharing with them a little something of what you have so that they too may feel cared for and not forgotten at this time of the year.
