Dear Friends, Supporters, and Well-Wishers,
We begin this newsletter with a heartfelt thank you for your continued support and prayers. During this Great Lent season, as we prepare ourselves for Easter, may Christ be our light as we extend our hands to support the needy orphans, offering them hope and a future.
Challenges Affecting Our Mission
This month, we have faced significant challenges that impact our ability to provide for the children. Severe frost has damaged the crops planted at the mission, reducing our food supply and threatening food security. This unexpected setback means we will need additional support to sustain the children’s nutrition.
Additionally, the withdrawal of USAID funding for healthcare programs has led to rising medical costs, making it harder for the mission to access affordable healthcare services for the children and the surrounding community. This has placed a heavy financial burden on us, as medical emergencies and routine care are becoming increasingly costly.
Despite the Challenges, We Remain Hopeful
- Back to School Success: Our children returned to school successfully, thanks to your generosity.
- Infrastructure Development: Plans are underway to expand boarding facilities and improve sanitation.
- Spiritual Growth: The children remain engaged in daily prayers and Orthodox teachings.
